Each year Ariels runs a pre-season camp for our representative players to get to know their team mates, other squad members and their coaches.
The camp is an overnight stay for our 13&U, 15&U, 17&U, Open age and VNL Development Squads; with our 11&Under tournament squad joining us for the first day.
The camp program includes team building activities, netball skills and lots of fun under the supervision of Ariels Committee, Coaches and Age Group Coordinators.

This year’s venue – CYC The Island - is set on 2.5 hectares of landscaped gardens, in the heart of Cowes within walking distance of safe sandy beaches and is a short drive to Phillip Island’s tourist attractions. The camp is widely used by schools and other community groups and has been significantly upgraded in recent years. Please visit their website to check it out.
How much?
The cost is incorporated into your fees which cover all camp activities, accommodation and meals from Saturday morning tea through to Sunday morning tea.
The only ‘extra’ is for you to arrange transport for your netballer to get to and from the camp which is about 125km from The Nets in Heathmont.
As some teams will have played their first match in the week before camp, this may provide you with the opportunity to arrange to share transporting arrangements with another family or two.
Why?
Pre-season camp is fun!
Players get to know their team mates and coaches in a fun and safe environment. Friendships are formed, experiences and stories are shared, connections are made and despite the perspiration and hardwork, there are plenty of laughs.
We recommend and strongly encourage all players to attend for their own social and physical development. No fee reduction is available for players who don’t attend.
